Terms of use
Last updated: 8 October 2026
These terms apply to everyone who uses Matchly: organizers with an account, and anyone who views a public page or enters scores with a score keeper link. By creating an account, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
Who we are
Matchly is run by Jens De Muynck, Deinze, Belgium. Contact: hello@matchly.be.
What Matchly is
Matchly is an online tool to organize leagues and tournaments: making schedules and brackets, entering results, keeping standings, and sharing a public page with players. There's also a free bracket generator that works without an account.
Free to use
Matchly is free. It's still new and keeps improving. We do our best to keep it working and your data safe, but we can't guarantee that it always works without interruption.
Paid plans
We may add a paid plan with extra features later. We'll announce it, with prices and what's included, at least 30 days in advance. Nothing becomes paid without you choosing it, and what you've built stays yours.
Donations
You can support Matchly with a voluntary donation through Ko-fi. A donation is a gift: it doesn't give you extra features or other rights, and isn't refunded unless the law requires it. Ko-fi and its payment providers handle the payment, under their own terms and privacy policy.
Your account
- Provide correct information, and keep your password to yourself.
- You're responsible for what happens with your account.
- Accounts are personal and meant for people aged 16 and older.
- You can delete your account at any time in your settings.
Your competitions and the names you enter
- The competitions, names and results you enter remain yours. You give us permission to store them and show them in Matchly, only to provide the service.
- Only enter names of people who agree to take part. Names and results are visible on the public page and player pages to everyone with the link. For participants under 16, you need permission from them or their parents.
- Score keeper links let anyone who has them enter results. Only share them with people you trust, and make a new link in the settings if one ends up with the wrong people.
- You can switch a competition's public page off at any time.
Fair use
Don't use Matchly to:
- enter content that is illegal, hateful, or that violates someone else's rights or privacy;
- spam, mislead, or harass anyone;
- break into, overload or disrupt Matchly, or access data that isn't yours;
- copy or resell Matchly or its content automatically.
If someone breaks these rules, we may remove the content, or suspend or delete the account. Where possible, we'll contact you first.
Our content
Matchly's software, design, name and logo belong to us. You may use Matchly for your own competitions, and share its public pages, but not copy the service itself.
Liability
We provide Matchly with care, but "as is", and for free. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage, such as a lost tournament evening, lost data or lost income, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the damage. This does not limit your rights as a consumer under Belgian law, or our liability for intent or gross negligence.
Keep your own copy of results that really matter to you.
Ending
You can stop using Matchly and delete your account at any time. We may stop offering Matchly, or a part of it. If we do, we'll let you know at least 30 days in advance where possible, so you can save what you need.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for example when we add features or paid plans. We'll update the date at the top, and tell you about important changes by email or in the app before they take effect. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.
Law and disputes
Belgian law applies. If we disagree, let's first try to solve it together: email hello@matchly.be. Otherwise the courts of the judicial district of East Flanders (Ghent division) are competent, without affecting the rights you have as a consumer to go to the courts of your own place of residence.
